Igneri-Caribbean
Studios Interaction
Igneri studios collaborate with other studios in the Caribbean region to
prepare seminars, workshops, events, share technology and training experiences.
Young artists have an opportunity to apply for a short term work stays at
one of the participating master's studios.
PIMED-Igneri
Medical Investigation
Seminars, talks, and workshops about preventive medicine, nutrition,
sanitation and diseases.
CCC-Igneri
Rural Community Training
Seminars, talks, and workshops about anthropology, arts, craft and pottery.
AACC-Igneri
Community Help
Infrastructure projects like schools, health centers,
churches, latrines, potable water, wells, roads, among others.
Scholarships
Pimentel-Contin
Two scholarships has been created in honor to the sisters Maythi and Leslie Pimentel-Contin.
Every year, one complete scholarship in given to a Dominican student. For the creativity, originality, discipline of work, and demonstrated lack of economical resources. The beneficiary need to keep high academic records during the period of study (10 months) covered by the scholarship.
A second scholarship is offered to a Dominican student with the ability, creativity, discipline of work, and with the desire of continuing his/her university studies.
Jacinto and Daniel Peynado
Two scholarships are offered for all the workshops in Talleres Igneri or Ambientaciones del Caribe.
Susana H. de Moya
We are working to create the scholarship Susana H. de Moya, donated by Mrs. Hernádez Moya, for a Dominican student graduated from high school, willing to enter to the National Pottery Center (Cenadarte).
Courses
Igneri Foundation offers (through his workshops in Arroyo Hondo, Arroyo Frío, Yuboa de Bonao, and Punta Cana) courses, seminars and trainings on:
- Ceramics
- Raku and burning technics
- Tiles manufacturing
- Enamel technics
- Mural techniques
- Native materials
Igneri also sponsors courses for kids and not ceramist artists, and art critics and journalists meetings.
